I really hope they treat this movie with some respect and don't let it become some warped patriotic vehicle, which can happen very easily. But with John Krasinski playing the lead role, how can it be anything but a serious, emotional, dark movie? (Crap: I think I'm in trouble. As in "Eric Bana as the Hulk" trouble. Me smash!)" target="_self" href="http://marvel.com/universe/Captain_America_(Steve_Rogers)">Sentinel of Liberty? I hope this isn’t a Dolph Lundgren as He-Man sorta deal. (Pssst, that’d be a <a title="Best quote: "The first film to be based on a line of toys, this might not be the last, but it'd take something awful to replace it as the worst." (You obviously haven't see G.I.Joe!)" target="_self" href="http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/masters_of_the_universe/">bad thing.) (Update: <a title="John's reaction: "I want to clamp Michael's face in a George Foreman Grill." World's reaction: "Oh, thank god." I'm not saying that you can't have a comedic person in a role like this (koff!MichaelKeatonasawesomeBatman!koff!), I'm just saying that normally it doesn't work out. I mean, look at Michael Keaton now. That movie was the pinnacle. You didn't see another Mr. Mom after that, did you? Exactly." target="_self" href="http://io9.com/5490557/captain-america-casting-john-krasinskis-out-chris-evans-and-the-tron-kid-are-in">Whew!)

"Irony is just sarcasm after you take away the delicious mocking. Maybe it's because the Surfer epitomizes everything about the cosmic crap that Marvel was all about during that decade. Or maybe it's because he rides around on a surfboard without a care in the world(s) letting his junk hang out everywhere. Hippie. Or maybe it's because he somehow made a horrible FF movie even worse.
